Reflect on your growth, refocus your goals, and make a change.

In the spirit of the end-of-year reflection, here are 12 questions I’ve been asking myself to appreciate my growth and set my path for the next year.

I’d love for you to give these a try too—just a few minutes could reveal something deeply meaningful and important about your own journey as an artist:

  1. What’s one thing I once dreamed of achieving and actually ended up doing?

  2. How has your music reflected your personal evolution—your mindset, emotions, and experiences—over time?

  3. If you could go back to the start of your music journey, what would your past self say about the artist you are today?

  4. What obstacles or doubts have you overcome that once felt impossible to move past?

  5. What part of your creative process brings you the most joy, and how often do you let yourself experience that?

  6. How would you define success in music if external validation (streams, likes, gigs) didn’t exist?

  7. What small victories in your journey (that no one else will ever see) deserve more of your recognition?

  8. Why did you start making music in the first place, and do you still feel connected to that ‘why’?

  9. What sets your music apart from anyone else’s, even in the smallest ways?

  10. How has your music allowed you to connect with others in ways that words alone couldn’t?

  11. What kind of music do you dream of making, and what’s stopping you from starting right now?

  12. If there were no limits on what you could achieve with your music, what would you aim for?

Take a moment with these questions. Dig deeper than the first thought that comes to mind.

I hope they inspire you to appreciate where you’ve been and get excited about where you’re headed.

Here’s to a fresh start and a year of music you’re proud of.

Big love

Eryk
